Vejigantes

Hand illustrated book depicting how to create a Vejigante mask.

This concept came from my own background as a Puerto Rican, where Vejigantes are common festival creatures. This book goes through the process of how they are made and what are key elements. It has colorful illustrations so that its is easily followed and also feels as though you are immersed in the process. This concept is furthered as in the end of the book it shows a festival taking place with the mask that was created throughout out the book.

This is also meant a paper sample book to showcase pop-tone colors from French Paper Co., which are bright and vibrant, perfect for festivals and popping illustrations.
