A Series of Blur

Keep your focus.

The project I created consist of a set of 10 blurry images that I created in both pre and post production. I wanted to create a series that focused on the color and not just what the subject was. I also wanted to have a bit of texture in my images which is why I chose to go with film over digital. The main goal is to give the people that view this series a different perspective. In sharp images the viewer tends to focus on the sharpest thing and nothing else, not taking in the rest of the image. I want to make the viewer slightly uncomfortable in what they are seeing and then make them look around the image focusing on only the color because it is the most predominant thing after the sharpness is taken out. It also allows for the viewer to make their own interpretations of where the image could’ve been taken.
